In the recipe for the Kerala Style Chicken Curry I made mention of an accompanying side salad. It’s great served up with any curry and is kind of my interpretation of the red onion raita typically served with poppadoms.
1 White onion – chopped
8-10 Small cherry tomatoes – quartered
1 tbsp Tomato ketchup
1 tsp Lemon juice
1 tbsp finely chopped coriander
Salt & Pepper to taste
- Place all ingredients in a bowl and mix well
- Will be better if made in advance and left covered in the fridge. However if doing this, do not add the salt until ready to serve. It tends to draw too much water from the onions and makes the dish a little wet.
Couldn’t be easier and it is delicious.
